Name: Apple Personal Diagnostics 1.1.3 Update Version: 1.1.3 Released: August 4, 1995 Description: Update for previous versions of APD To use this update, you must already own Apple Personal Diagnostics (APD) 1.1 or 1.1.1. This new version of APD is REQUIRED for Power Macintosh 9500 Series computers. If you use APD and have a Power Macintosh 9500 Series computer, you MUST use the new version 1.1.3 to receive accurate results from tests run by APD. If you attempt to run previous versions of APD on any Macintosh with the new PCI-bus architecture (such as the Power Macintosh 9500/120 or 9500/132), APD will give false RAM diagnostic test results and may crash. If you have a Macintosh other than one of the Power Macintosh 9500 Series, you MAY use the new version 1.1.3, however the update does not provide any additional diagnostic functionality. Among the improvements you will find in APD 1.1.3 is its new on-screen log window for the bootable emergency application. This log window displays the status and results of diagnostic tests as they are running, and provides some additional hardware information. The enclosed file is a self-extracting archive.
