The updates are posted to ensure compatibility between Mac OS 8 and Workgroup Servers 7350 and 9650. Refer to TIL article entitled "MacOS 8 and WGS Update" for further WGS 9650/233 and 7350 update instructions. This software consists of a Disk Copy compressed image, which requires Disk Copy 6.1 or later to use. Download this software to your hard drive and then double-click it to use it. Disk Copy is available in the Utilities folder. The Workgroup Server 9650 ships with several components which are not included in the base Mac OS system software. In order to update your server to a new version of the operating system, you must follow these easy steps. 1. Using the Mac OS 8.0 installation CD, update all Apple disk drivers using Drive Setup 1.3. If your hard disk driver is AppleRAID 1.5 or Soft RAID 1.5. or later, you do not need to update the drivers. 2. Install Mac OS 8.0 following the directions on the CD. 3. Restart the machine as prompted, and Eject the CD. 4. Insert the Workgroup Server System Software CD in the machine. 5. Open the Server Additions folder (you may need to scroll down to see it.) Move the following drivers from the Server Additions folder to the active System Folder of your boot volume: * PCI SCSI JackHammer(TM) 1.2.2 * Apple 10/100 Fast Ethernet * ATI Graphics Accelerator * ATI Guide 6.
