X11 Server Update For A/UX 3.0

The enclosed file is a self-extracting archive.  To use, download, decompress.

This software is an updated Xwindow server for A/UX 3.0.  The file XmacII.Z in this enclosure is a replacement for the file

/usr/bin/X11/XmacII  (from the A/UX 3.0 standard distribution)

This server has been modified to support more third party video cards. There are no other changes in this server.  It is in all other respects the same server that went out with A/UX 3.0

To install this file log in as root and use the following commands

Expand the self extracting archive XmacII.sea from the A/UX Finder

From the CommandShell perform the following commands

mv /usr/bin/X11/XmacII /usr/bin/X11/XmacII.orig
uncompress XmacII.Z
mv XmacII /usr/bin/X11/XmacII
chown root /usr/bin/X11/XmacII
chgrp bin /usr/bin/X11/XmacII
chmod 755 /usr/bin/X11/XmacII
