Name: DK-PowerBook 2300c Update Version: 1.0 Released: January 27, 1996 Description: This system extension ensures that the trackpad works correctly on Danish PowerBook 2300c systems. It goes in the Extensions folder, inside the System Folder. The enclosed file is a self-extracting archive. To use, download, double-click the downloaded file (this decompresses it). From the Read Me included with the US version of this archive: To ensure that the trackpad on your PowerBook operates correctly, the PowerBook 2300c Update file must be in the Extensions folder, which is inside the System Folder on your computerŐs hard disk. The update file and a copy of this document are located in PowerBook Extras folder, inside the Apple Extras folder. On some computers (possibly including yours), the update file was put in the Extensions folder at the factory. You can check the contents of the Extensions folder to see if the PowerBook 2300c Update is in that folder. If the update file is not in the Extensions folder, use the instructions below to put it in the folder. Putting the PowerBook 2300c Update file in the Extensions folder To put the update file in the Extensions folder, follow these steps: 1. Open the Apple Extras folder on your computerŐs hard disk. 2. Open the PowerBook Extras folder and locate the PowerBook 2300c Update file. 3. While holding down the Option key, drag the update file to the icon of the System Folder (not to the System Folder window, if that window is open). 4. When you see a message reporting that the file belongs in the Extensions folder, click OK. If you see a second message asking if you want to replace a file with the same name, click OK. The update file will be copied to the Extensions folder. Important: If you reinstall the system software, you must put the update in the Extensions folder after installation is complete. Be sure to leave a copy of the update file and the update Read Me document in the PowerBook Extras folder so that you can reinstall the update file if necessary.
